The roar of engines, the scent of high-octane fuel, and the unmistakable glint of chrome under Sussex skies—today, Goodwood Motor Circuit played host not only to some serious machines, but to a serious brotherhood. The Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association turned out in force for the much-anticipated Track Day, bringing Masonic presence, spirit, and horsepower to the hallowed tarmac.

For those lucky enough to strap into the driver’s seat (and the wallet willing to part with £499 for the full-day package), the experience included exclusive use of the circuit, lunch in the Jackie Stewart Pavilion, and briefings from Goodwood’s top instructors. But even those not in the hot seat got a taste of the action—thanks in no small part to the Widows Sons.

Lined up in formation, patches gleaming, b

ikes polished to within an inch of their life, the Widows Sons brought the unmistakable presence of Freemasonry to the paddock. More than just riders, they were ambassadors—answering questions, swapping biking stories, and flying the flag for a brotherhood that knows its way around both ritual and rev limiters.

It wasn’t just the spectators they impressed. Track veterans and first-timers alike tipped their helmets to the turnout and organisation. While the cars tore up the circuit—some pushing 100dB through noise testing—the Widows Sons worked the crowds with their usual mix of humour, respect, and quiet confidence. No stunts, no posing—just purpose.

This was Freemasonry in action, but not the kind that stays behind closed lodge doors. Today showed that values like charity, camaraderie, and discipline can wear leather and ride 1,200cc machines. The Widows Sons didn’t just attend Goodwood. They arrived.

Between laps, lattes, and loud conversations about tyre compounds, members reminded everyone why petrol and principle go surprisingly well together.  The Widows Sons proved once again: whether it’s a temple or a track, when you bring heart and horsepower, people take notice.
